5 Tips to Improve Your Wireless Connection

Wireless technology makes it easy to get rid of the cables and take computing away from the desk. It's becoming the household norm, and while the technology is advancing quickly, there are some easy things you can do to improve your own wireless connectivity.

#TIP 5 - Position Your Router :-
A wireless signal doesn't carry far, and any walls or large objects may cause interference. For this reason, a wireless router should be centrally located in your home to insure the best range possible. Place the router on a flat surface off the floor and away from obstructions. Additionally, there could be interference from a neighboring wireless signal. Make sure that you're using a unique wireless channel to limit interference.

#TIP 4 Replace your Antenna:-
The antennas shipped with most routers are small antennas with omni-directional capabilities. These antennas broadcast a signal in all directions, which can be useful if you need wireless throughout your house, but the range is quite short. A directional antenna can improve range by focusing the signal in a specific way, allowing you to aim it where it's needed. These antennas are often called "high-gain" and the signal increase is measured in decibels (dB).

#TIP 3 Get a Repeater:-
A wireless repeater is the easy and safe way to boost your signal. A repeater works very much like a router, but instead of creating a signal, it relays an existing signal. A repeater is easy to install and doesn't require any additional wires or connections. Multiple repeaters make it easy to create a home or business network with complete connectivity.

#TIP 2  Get an Antenna Booster :-
It's possible to make a homemade reflector or antenna to improve your wireless signal. There are templates and building instructions on many Web sites across the internet to use materials as commonplace as foil and cardboard. Common designs are a parabolic satellite shape and a "coffee can" yagi antenna. Both can increase range and direct your signal, though homemade quality will vary.

#TIP 1 Upgrade Firmware :-
Router manufacturers publish firmware updates regularly and upgrading your router can provide a performance boost and access to new features. Another option for the tech savvy is to install third-party firmware. There are a number of free, safe alternatives that may be compatible with your router. One project, DD-WRT, offers more robust features than many of the official firmware packages.

Boost your PC RAM

This may sound like a tech-heavy article but trust me, it's not. This was a small technique that i practised in my school(T.E.A school).

First up, why do you need a RAM booster? Well, it's not so much a question of why because we all want a faster PC. This is more a question of when. If you've been running a large application (or several large applications, maybe a game, Photoshop, something like that) the RAM can get taken up quickly. Even when you close down these programs, RAM can still be eaten-up.

So, here's what you need to do. It works for Vista, XP and windows7.

Step One: Open up Notepad (it's in Accessories)

Step Two: Type in MYSTRING=(80000000)

Step Three: Save the file as MEMORY.VBE (or RAM.VBE if you like...just remember the .VBE)

Step Four: Make sure you save the file to your DESKTOP.

Step Five: Just double-click the newly created file on your desktop whenever your PC seems sluggish. It will give your RAM a much needed boost.

If you have less than 128mb of RAM (is that possible these days?) change the 80000000 to 160000000 and it should work the same.

That's it. Quick, simple and a real time-saver. By the way, don't ask me how it works, I have absolutely no idea. A computer Engineer, far smarter than myself gave me the tip ;-). I tried it, it worked like a charm. Let's go to work.

Are you irritated with the computer keeps freezing error?

These days, the use of computers has increased to unprecedented levels. The users need computers to carry out so many daily level functions normally.
The computer keeps freezing or PC crash error however impediments the normal use of these machines for some time.

Blue screen of death

A  PC crash situation just consists of a blue screen of death which suddenly appears or the computer programs becoming non responsive.  The users can however combat this error quite easily instead of panicking and stopping working on computers for many days. This PC crash error which contains a blue screen of death is extremely perplexing for any user because it plays havoc with his/her needs. He can’t work on the computer as intended and complete the work on time. The computer screen resumes normally after the computer is restarted, but all the unsaved work before the PC crash is gone or deleted.

He/she can lose so much critical work saved on the machine. Now, there can be many reasons why you have met with a blue screen of death on your PC?

  • Too much employment of programs at once
  • Low RAM

The user can avoid the problem of PC crash by using fewer programs simultaneously on the PC. Either you can minimize the usage of the programs to avoid this PC crash situation or can opt for a higher RAM which allows higher program usage. This computer keeps freezing situation occurs because the user puts an excessive load on RAM through his program usage.
Its also important to repair some wrecked registry files which are caused by a faulty deletion or addition of programs. Once the registry is repaired, no more blue screen of death is caused.

Using so many programs altogether

When , the PC crash situation does not contain the blue death screen and just involves the stoppage of the computer functions altogether, the user can easily get rid of this computer keeps freezing situation by logging on to the task manager and stopping the erroneous program. The computer keeps freezing situation is just caused by a computer program that froze.
The only way a user can minimize this computer keeps freezing situation, where because of a single non responding program, the entire computer set up refuses to work up permanently, is to delete some of the extra unused programs stored on the PC. In this computer keeps freezing scenario, the user presses the mouse and the keyboard, but there is no response. Restarting the PC in this scenario means removing all the work that was not saved.
We at Complete PC Pedia offer all the required help to solve all kinds of computer keeps freezing situation. Our tutorials aid you in solving such situations where your PC goes kaput and the screen becomes blue.

Reasons of slow internet.

Reasons of slow internet

Slow internet is one of the major causes which can hamper the pace of any business. Such slow internet speed can be caused due to any issues like configuration problems, interference in the wireless and broadband.
Causes why internet does not perform normally are:

 1.ActiveX controls

Slow internet can also be caused due to the activation of Activex control which implies that the users can’t see a page due to some inactive settings. So, the users can remove the settings for these controls by downloading an internet Explorer patch of Microsoft and hence get rid of the problem of slow internet.  Reboot your computer after this patch has been downloaded on the PC.

2.Viruses and spyware

Slow internet connection can also be generated due to many kinds of issues like installation of viruses and spyware on your computer. Sometimes, the programs installed on the computer along with its memory, space of the hard disk also cause slow internet speed. Spyware installed on the computer can also be removed through deleting these programs through the PC’s control panel.
The reason why the installation of spyware on the PC generates slow internet speed is because such software has a tab of all the online activities of a user. In fact the keystrokes of a user which imply the way he employs internet are included in his internet behavior. You must have reboot your computer many times in order to improve the performance of internet. But this can’t have any impact because slow internet speed is produced due to reasons like presence of several spyware on the PC.

3.Number of operating applications

Sometimes, use of several applications at once is also because of slow internet behavior. In that scenario, reboot your computer to remove the factor of slow internet speed.

4.Browser settings

Sometimes, the browser settings also have an impact in terms of slow internet pace. This can happen when the computer’s browser has many add-ons in terms of search extensions and programs for opening special documents.
So, the user should remove all these add-ons in order to remove slow internet behavior. After removal of the add-ons, again reboot your computer in order to restore normal internet behavior.

5.Router settings

The kind of internet tool employed by the user also decides his internet performance. You can reboot your computer after adjusting these settings. These settings can also be affected by any physical obstruction between the modem and your PC.
Sometimes, internet connections are slow from the service provider itself, so nothing can be done. Router settings can also be changed to make compatible with those desired by the internet service provider.

6.Internet settings

Reboot your computer option is tried by many people to remove the slow internet functionality, but it is not relevant for a low internet speed. A user can also reduce the days for which the history of web pages is stored. Just reboot your computer again after the number of days for which the page history is reduced to one. Encrypted pages which require user ids and passwords to be stored can also produce sluggish internet behavior. So, don’t save these pages in history. We provide competent solutions to remove the problem of slow internet.

BAD_POOL_CALLER 0x000000c2

BAD_POOL_CALLER 0x000000c2 problem is a common problem with Windows operating system with many forums discussing it over and over. This problem mostly  appears in Laptops Such as Dell , Compaq, Hcl, Sony and others

Here is What i suggest, you can do to solve this problem.

Root Cause - Bad Pool Caller (stop code 0x000000C2)  :-

A defective memory or a faulty hardware.
Generally this is associated with damaged or incompatible drivers.
If you encounter this message while upgrading Windows, it may mean that the hardware is not compatible with new updates. In that situation either rollback or  Try disconnecting devices, or looking for a suitable driver for Windows.

Solution 1 - Fix Driver issues :-

1. Login and enter password if needed
2. Then in safe mode click start->run
3. Type devmgmt.msc and hit enter this will run device manager
4. Expand all (+) if needed and see if you find any yellow exclamation marks.Any yellow exclamation          marks will indicate corrupted or incompatible drivers.
5. Remove or uninstall that driver and install a updated copy of the driver from the official website.

Some of the most common Driver are ;-
Video Drivers: Nvida , ATI, Intel
Chipset and CPU drivers - Intel ,AMD, Via

Solution 2 - Check Memory :-

Both Windows7 and Vista includes memory test program when booting from the Windows DVD.
or Download Free memory test software from : http://www.memtest.org
Burn it to black CD or make a bootable USBstick.Once booted it will test your memory. One full past will catch most errors, but you can let it run longer.
I would run it first to see if it finds any problems with either stick. If it does take one out and test on each stick individually. If only one stick tests bad then it's very likely the problem, but if both test bad ,or neither, then it's likely something else.

Solution 3 - Re install Windows :-

New installation if windows will insure that all drivers and hardware compatible errors are gone and everything will be back to normal.Pleasee backup your date before formatting your windows.
